Writer Imperfect launched January 9, 2019, as an expansion of #Author365 that Joshua Robertson began in 2018 in hopes of shining the spotlight on the vast talent and knowledge of other writers/creatives in the writing industry. Taking place up to three times per week, Joshua hosts a live broadcast on Twitch with writers to speak about the craft, the industry, and their own personal journeys. Each show has an audience who can ask questions and directly interact with the panelists. While some shows might have specialized topics, Writer Imperfect aims to focus on natural conversation and interaction–which may prove to be as imperfect as the name suggests. It might also prove to be rich with content. You will have to tune in to find out!
The first episode featured an insightful and entrepreneurial cast of individuals, Andy Peloquin, Stevie Collier, Devani Alderson, LeAura Alderson, Christie Stratos, and Joe Compton. During the 90-minute episode, the roundtable discussed The Mind of the Creator, breaking down what it meant to be a writer emotionally, psychologically, and so forth. Common personality traits, ethics, virtues and vices, and discussing why creators create were among the topics of interest.
You can catch the recording on YouTube.
If you are an author/creative and would like to be a guest on the show, you can fill out the form. Again, the show airs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:00 PM EST each week (unless otherwise stated) with a maximum of 4 guests per show. All episodes are recorded through Zoom and the audio will later be uploaded to iTunes. Joshua will reach out to those interested to finalize details and answer any questions or concerns. If you happen to guest on Writer Imperfect, you will also receive an author spotlight on The Book Tavern.
